About Montez

Im Montez, an multitalented recording artist from Memphis TN. I dabble in the Rap and R&B scene while looking to get into other genres. In my free time i play the game and basketball im good at both trust me.I got into music around 2014 once i heard this one young thug song. I grew up with my dad in South Memphis where he would sing almost everyday so the passion from singing comes from that, as far as my rap i get it from my experience of life or how life was perceived through my eyes. Growing up I wouldn’t say life was hard for me i wasn’t broke but I didn’t have the money to get nice things, after staying with my dad for a while i moved with my mom and watch her work two jobs then back to one then back two all the way till her demise in 2022. When my mom was alive she supported every song I recorded bad and good and told me when I shouldn’t have dropped every song went through her. When she died i felt as if I didn’t want to do music anymore but i recently found the passion to keep going it could be her it could be faith but i know none of this is possible without god. My goal for music os to be able to entertain and help people through life its more to music to me than just a catchy hook or a great singing tone its about being relatable I sometimes find myself writing from other people point of views.
